Sound Safari: First Sounds (EYFS) is a warm, five-safari Reception phonics activity book mapped to the DfE Early Years Foundation Stage Development Matters guidance (Communication & Language and Literacy) and the Literacy Early Learning Goal, covering Phase 1 into Phase 2 phonics. Children tune their listening ears to environmental sounds, hear the very first sound in spoken words, and meet the early sounds s, a, t, p, i and n through sound hunts and I-spy games around the home — a grown-up reads every word aloud, so no reading is needed. Two safaris are auto-marked on screen with instant friendly feedback; the rest are hands-on listening and playing tasks a grown-up can share, and the whole book can be printed with a full answer key.
