Wiggly Lines: Pre-Writing Patterns (EYFS)

Wiggly Lines: Pre-Writing Patterns is a warm, five-pattern Reception (EYFS) activity book covering the pattern marks children practise before forming letters, supporting the Literacy (Writing) and Physical Development (Fine Motor Skills) Early Learning Goals and the DfE Development Matters guidance. Children warm up with big-arm air-writing, learn that marks travel top to bottom and left to right, then trace straight lines, zigzags, waves, loops and anticlockwise circles — the strokes hiding inside the letters they will write next. The printed pack is the heart of the book: print it all and trace on paper with a chunky pencil, with just a few gentle tap-and-check questions on screen and a full answer sheet. No pass-or-fail tone, parent-led and playful, with teacher, parent and pupil notes and fully SEND-friendly high-contrast and large-text modes.
