KS1 English: Composition — Challenge is a greater-depth stretch activity book for Years 1–2 composition, mapped to the DfE National Curriculum. Five demanding challenges push confident learners through fixing sentences that are missing a capital letter, a full stop, or both, choosing the strongest word from four tricky choices, ordering a whole four-sentence recount, and choosing the correct time word for each step of a recount while reading the whole passage first. Challenges 1–4 are auto-marked with a full answer key; Challenge 5 is an open extended-writing task — planning and writing an original story that uses strong words, a joining word and time words, checked against a self-review checklist.
