KS1 Science: Working Scientifically — Deep Revision
Thorough KS1 working scientifically revision: questioning, observing, fair testing and classifying, plus planning your own test. Auto-marked plus open tasks.
KS1 Science: Working Scientifically — Deep Revision is a thorough activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum enquiry skills for Years 1 and 2. Sections 1-2 secure fluency with around fifteen auto-marked questions on asking testable questions, observing closely with simple equipment, performing simple fair tests, and classifying using a clear rule. Sections 3-5 are open, reflective tasks: planning an original fair test on paper aeroplanes, turning a bean-growing diary into a results table and interpreting what it shows, and reflecting on and explaining classifying and fair-testing choices. Every section uses a generic, everyday context, because working scientifically is a set of skills used across all science topics, not a topic of its own. A full worked answer key, including model answers and marking notes for the open sections, is included alongside teacher, parent and pupil guidance.
