KS1 Science: Working Scientifically — Quick Burst is a fast-paced, fully auto-marked activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum enquiry skills for Years 1 and 2. Five short rounds race through asking simple testable questions, observing closely using simple equipment, performing simple (fair) tests, identifying and classifying everyday objects, and gathering and recording data to answer a question. Every round uses a different everyday context — a minibeast hunt, a paper towel test, sorting buttons, and growing cress — because working scientifically is a set of skills used across all science topics, not a topic of its own. With around twenty quick questions and a full worked answer key, it is ideal as a warm-up, a fluency check, or five minutes of focused practice between longer lessons.
