KS1 Science: Working Scientifically — Support is a gentle, fully auto-marked activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum enquiry skills for Years 1 and 2. Five short steps, each with a clear tip and simple everyday examples, build confidence with asking testable questions, observing closely using simple equipment, performing simple fair tests, identifying and classifying, and gathering and recording data. Every context is generic and easy to picture — a garden minibeast hunt, a beetle under a stone, paper towels, fallen leaves and a class weather chart — because working scientifically is a set of skills used across all science topics, not a topic of its own. With extra scaffolding and a full worked answer key, this form is ideal for learners who need a slower, more supported route through the same skills as the Quick Burst book.

It is designed to take about twenty minutes and works well for a learner who needs a slower, more supported route through asking questions, observing, testing, classifying and recording data.
A scaffolded, fully auto-marked practice book for the DfE KS1 working scientifically strand, suitable for learners needing additional support. Each of the five steps opens with an explicit tip before three to four closed questions on asking testable questions, observing with simple equipment, performing simple fair tests, identifying and classifying, and gathering and recording data. Contexts are simple and generic (a garden hunt, a beetle, paper towels, leaves, a weather chart) and deliberately gentler than the Quick Burst and Challenge forms of this pack. Useful for intervention groups, pre-teaching, or independent practice with lower cognitive load.
