Subscription & Billing Terms

Effective date: 14 June 2026 Version: 1.0
These terms are written to be ready for the UK's incoming subscription-contracts regime under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (expected to commence from autumn 2026), so adopting them now both protects revenue and future-proofs compliance. Complete bracketed fields, including plan prices and notice periods, before publishing.

These Subscription & Billing Terms explain how payment, auto-renewal, price changes, failed payments, and cancellation work for paid access to learnaroohub.com. They form part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1.Plans and what is included

We offer Free Content, one-off purchases, and recurring Subscriptions (monthly or annual), plus organisation Licences. The features, number of users, billing frequency, and price of each plan are shown on our pricing page and confirmed at checkout. We may change the make-up of plans for the future; existing paid terms are honoured until renewal.

2.Key information before you subscribe

Before you commit, we clearly show you: the price and billing frequency; that the subscription renews automatically; the date the first payment and any renewal payments are taken; how to cancel; and the length of any minimum term. By completing checkout you confirm you have seen this information and agree to it.

3.Payment and authorisation

By subscribing, you authorise us and our payment processor to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription fee and each renewal until you cancel. Card and bank details are handled securely by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers. You must keep your payment details valid and up to date.

4.Auto-renewal and reminders

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. To help you stay in control, we will:

  • tell you clearly at sign-up that the subscription auto-renews;
  • send reminder notices before renewal a reasonable period in advance — at least before the first renewal and periodically thereafter, and at least twice a year for monthly plans;
  • make it as easy to cancel as it was to subscribe.

This reflects the consumer-protection approach of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. We will update reminder timings to match the final statutory requirements when the subscription regime commences.

5.Free trials and introductory offers

Where we offer a free trial or discounted introductory period, we will tell you when it ends, what you will be charged afterwards, and how to cancel before being charged. Unless you cancel before the trial or introductory period ends, your subscription will continue at the standard price. Free trials are limited to one per person or household; creating multiple accounts to obtain repeated trials is prohibited under our Acceptable Use Policy.

6.Price changes

We may change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it takes effect, by email or on-Platform notice. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period. If you do not accept the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect and your subscription will end at the close of your current paid period.

7.Failed payments and recovery

If a payment fails (for example a card is declined or expired):

  • we will attempt to take payment again over a short retry window and notify you so you can update your details;
  • we may suspend or restrict access until payment succeeds;
  • if payment remains outstanding after a reasonable reminder period, we may cancel the subscription;
  • amounts properly due for access already provided remain payable; unpaid sums are a debt and we may take reasonable steps to recover them, including using a collections agency or court action and recovering reasonable recovery costs where the law allows.

8.How to cancel

You can cancel at any time:

  • through your account settings using the Manage Subscription option; or
  • by emailing teamalpha@learnaroohub.com.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless you are within a valid cooling-off period (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy), you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further payments are taken.

9.School and organisation billing

For School/Organisation Accounts we may agree invoicing rather than card payment. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date;
  • Licences may run for a committed term (for example an academic year) and fees for that term are payable in full;
  • we may charge interest and reasonable recovery costs on late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998;
  • we may suspend access for non-payment after reasonable notice.

10.Tax and currency

Prices are in pounds sterling. For consumers, prices include VAT where applicable. For organisations, prices may be shown exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate. Any bank or currency-conversion charges are your responsibility.

11.Billing support

For any billing question, contact teamalpha@learnaroohub.com. We aim to respond within 2 working days.
